Larry Gennaro, Esq.

Larry has over thirty years of experience throughout the legal industry. He is a firm believer that matching a legal professional’s personality and work style to the appropriate law firm culture makes for a successful placement. An effective recruiter has a comprehensive understanding of both the needs of legal professionals and the current needs of law firms. Larry has the unique ability to consult with clients on a broad range of topics drawing from his own expertise as a lawyer, recruiter, consultant, litigation manager, executive, and salesperson of litigation support services.

After receiving his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden, Larry embarked on his legal career in Philadelphia as a litigation associate at Liebert, Short and Hirshland, PC (now Marshall, Dennehy, Warner, Coleman & Goggin, PC). He joined Legalgard, Inc., (CSC, Inc.) quickly becoming Senior Vice President of Account Development for this legal cost containment firm, where he was recognized as one of the leading legal cost experts in the US. He was the top salesperson at Legalgard selling engagements in excess of $11 million per year.

In 1998, he joined JAMS – the Resolution Experts as the Regional Vice President for the East/Central Region, and later for the Southwest Region of this leading international arbitration and mediation firm. During his tenure at JAMS, he developed the art of recruiting talented lawyers and judges. In 2005, he continued on to become a business development executive, selling litigation support services for Deloitte, Epiq Systems, and Xerox Litigation Services.

Larry first discovered his love for legal recruiting in 2008 when he founded Gennaro Legal Search Consultants. He worked diligently as a recruiter to help several of his close friends as they joined major law firms. He quickly realized he could leverage his years of experience and knowledge into a career he truly enjoyed.

Larry is a tireless networker who enjoys helping others achieve personal and professional success. He believes it is a privilege and honor to offer advice and contribute to guiding the careers of his clients and network. He values developing deep relationships and he invests time in nurturing his own network and assisting others with building their network. He enjoys offering coaching and advice on relationship development strategies, and he has been a guest speaker for several professional service firms.

Larry has a passion for music. He has his Bachelor of Music from the University of the Arts and was a professional trumpet player and backup vocalist for many years. He also has a passion for being a dad.  His youngest son is attending his first year at Syracuse University and is majoring in sports data analytics.
